MUZO MINE:
Located in the Boyacá region of Colombia, the Muzo mine is often regarded as the "emerald capital of the world." CHIVOR MINE:
We are fortunate to be part of the extraction of emeralds from one of the most famous and legendary mines, "Chivor." The name "Chivor" comes from the indigenous language and means “blessed land.” Situated in the eastern Andes, Chivor produces emeralds that are renowned for their bluish-green hue, a signature characteristic that makes them highly prized in the market. This mine has a rich history, with emeralds of the highest quality being extracted for centuries. Although Chivor is smaller than Muzo, its unique geology and the exceptional color of its emeralds have made it one of the most respected sources of gemstones in the world. The emeralds from Chivor are admired for their vibrant and intense color, adding to the global reputation of Colombian emeralds as the finest in the world.
